The Shy Guy usually travels alone on remote trails in scenic areas of the Northwest, although he has been known to stray out of state. Sometimes he is in the company of his canine companion, "Shadow." If he does meet others in his travels he pretends he speaks a foreign language so as to avoid idle talk, and then vanishes into the landscape.
